Selam@Stockholm Culture Festival 13th of August
“An evening of unique Ethiopian sounds”
Some of Ethiopia’s absolute top performers take the grand stage at Stockholm Culture Festival in an evening curated by Selam. Live on stage, the audience can experience Ethiocolor, the Addis Abeba based folklore group consisting of 11 musicians and dancers from three different generations.The group is recognized for their vibrant live shows where traditional instruments are arranged in contemporary style together with the rhythmic dance Ekista.
The show is followed by two of Ethiopia’s most legendary singers backed by French Badume’s Band; Mahmoud Ahmed and Alemayehu Eshete – no further inroductions needed. The evening ends with a big party with DJs at the square in front of the Opera House.
