Selam and Sabina Ddumba goes to Ethiopia and Uganda!

In just a few years, Sabina Ddumba has managed to secure her spot as one of Sweden’s brightest shining stars, and she is ready to take on the world. During this fall, she has been seen in the Swedish TV-show “Så Mycket Bättre” and a world tour awaits this coming spring. In the meantime, however, she is travelling to Ethiopia and Uganda together with Selam!

In 2015, Sabina Ddumba released her hit singles “Effortless” and ”Not Too Young”, for which she was awarded a Swedish Grammis (Grammy) and a P3-gold award for being the newcomer of the year. That same year she also embarked on a Scandinavia tour and was recognized as a top-ranked live artist.

In October 2016, her anticipated debut album ”Homeward Bound” was finally released and received with remarkable reviews from recognized music critics. As one example, entertainment journalist Jan Gradvall referred to it as the “wisest album of the year” and the Swedish magazine Nöjesguiden wrote that the album was signified by Sabina’s aura of worldliness and wisdom.

– As Sabina Ddumba is of Ugandan descent it is very special for us to travel together with her to Kampala, where she will be given the opportunity to perform and establish connections with new markets and audiences. We hope that the tour in East Africa will be able to create a basis for her which she can later return to, says Selams executive director Teshome Wondimu.
