HAPPY NEW YEAR!

2017 has really been an eventful year for Selam – we celebrated 20 years as an organization and definitely exceeded ourselves. Some examples: We hit ticket sales record with Youssou N’Dour and Kaliffa at the Stockholm Culture Festival, Janice played her first gigs in Vietnam, Sabina Ddumba performed in Uganda for the first time and Mapei premiered the stages in Liberia – plus we brought Redline Recordings on a tour in Chile. We also started Selam Festival’s sister festival Selam Festival Havana, with Swedish and Cuban artists, at Cuba. We also celebrated our 20 years long work of providing more people a richer range of cultural experiences with a magical and sold out concert with Mulatu Astatke and Sabina Ddumba & Tensta Gospel Choir at the Stockholm Concert Hall.

A big THANK YOU to all of our collaboration partners and our great audience showing up to all our events!
