Erica ”Etzia” Haylett from Gothenburg has gone from clarity to clarity and is now ready to bring her unique sound to a worldwide audience. An international artist by definition, she was born in New York City with roots in Panama and Trinidad, and was raised in Sweden by her mother. Despite always feeling drawn to music, which started as a background element in her life, Etzia chose to study economics and had her focus set on a steady and secure future. A shift of mindset appeared in 2008 when she visited Jamaica and got inspired to fully commit herself to her musical career. Said and done – later that year she released her debut single produced by Sweden’s reggae- and dance hall producer Partillo.
Etzia participated in the annual music festival Melodifestivalen in 2017, where she performed the song “Up”, written by amongst others Hanif Sabzevari.
