Gold & Wax is the collaborative live project of Ethiopia’s Mikael Seifu and Ethiopian Records (Endeguena).
Their music is the combination of both their talents, which blends together elements of Ethiopian folk with their own brew of electronic music that they call Ethiopiyawi Electronic, or Ethiopian Electronic. It is a concept the two have worked towards since they started making music together when attending the same high school.
Mikael Seifu and Ethiopian Records both released their respective debut EPs, Yarada Lij and Qen Sew, to critical acclaim on Washington D.C. based record label 1432R in 2014.
They are also performing as individual artist Mikael Seifu and Ethiopian Records (Endeguena).
